Residents: Turn your research into posters

SAN FRANCISCO — Rashi Aggarwal, MD, associate professor and program director of residency training in the department of psychiatry at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, discussed how residents can turn their research into posters in a video at the APA annual meeting.

Residents may feel intimidated when they think about the research involved in creating a poster, but if they combine their experiences of daily patient care and evidence-based literature review to their scholarly activity, it’s not so bad, according to Aggarwal.

“The only step that I feel everybody needs to take is to make a decision that at the next conference, they are submitting a poster,” she said.

Disclosures: Aggarwal reports no relevant financial disclosures.
