Abstract

Dr. Zenel is associate professor in the Division of General Pediatrics, vice chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, and medical director of the Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect team, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, OR.

He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, served 3 years in the National Health Service in North Carolina, and sent 10 years in private practice in Pennsylvania. He joined the faculty at Oregon Health & Science University in 1996, where he has been active in both clinical practice and teaching.

Dr. Zenel 's academic accomplishments include authoring and editing several pediatric publications and making numerous continuing education presentations. He has a special interest in teaching fellow practicing clinicians.…
