Abstract

Mark E. Ralston, MD, MPH, practices general pediatrics in Oak Harbor, WA, and pediatric emergency medicine at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and Health Center in Tacoma, WA. He is currently finishing a medical career with the United States Navy.

Dr. Ralston received his medical degree from Cornell University and his master of public health degree from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed a residency in pediatrics at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Children's Hospital Boston.

During 1998-2004, Dr. Ralston directed the emergency department care of children and adolescents at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA, served as Pediatric Advanced Life Support National Faculty for United States Navy hospitals and health facilities worldwide, and taught the Advanced Pediatric Life Support course to house officers, physicians, and nurses in the Tidewater region of Virginia.…
