Abstract

October 29-31, 1986: An Advanced Pediatric Ufe Support Course will be held at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore, Maryland. The course objective is to familiarise physicians witri the most common life-threatening conditions in children and to develop skills that will allow the physician to competently resuscitate, stabilize, evaluate, and triage a seriously injured or ill child. This will be achieved through the utilizarion of various educational methods: didactic methods lectures, small group demonstrations, procedures in animal laboratory and small-group case study discussion. Close faculty contact is necessary for the development of resuscitative psychomotor skills used in advanced pediatrie life support; therefore, enrollment will be limited.
