Abstract

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Maria New to the Editorial Advisory Board of PEDIATRIC ANNALS.

Dr. New currently holds the positions of Professor and Chairman, Department of Pediatrics, Cornell University Medical College, New York; Division Head, Pediatrie Endocrinology; Associate Program Director, Pediatrie Clinical Research Center; and an Endowed Chair, Harold and Percy Uris Professor of Pediatrie Endocrinology and Metabolism.

After having been graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1954, Dr. New completed an internship in medicine at Bellevue Hospital (3rd Division), and served a pediatrie residency at the New York Hospital. A distinguished career in pediatrie medicine has followed, leading to the positions she now holds.

Numerous research appointments awarded to Dr. New include a research fellowship in biochemistry and renal function from the National Institutes of Health, and a similar fellowship in the study of specific hormonal production of the adrenals and gonads during childhood and adolescence in diseased states. In addition to her teaching and hospital appointments at Cornell Medical College, Dr. New has also served as a visiting physician at numerous medical schools and hospitals as well as the Rockefeller University.

She has been the guest editor of five issues oí PEDIA TRIC A NN ALS in the past ten years.
