Rev360 announced the acquisition of EyeDock, an ophthalmic online clinical reference, and the appointment of Bill Kastein to senior vice president of services and products.
Rev360 said EyeDock will be integrated with RevolutionEHR, the company’s cloud-based electronic health record and practice management software platform, the company said in a press release.
EyeDock.com features a comprehensive database of contact lens parameters, clinical calculators, a topical ophthalmic medicine database, gas-permeable lenses and a refracting tutorial and simulator, according to the release.
EyeDock’s founder, Todd Zarwell, OD, will join the Rev360 ECP Leadership Team and will continue to fine-tune the EyeDock website and database. As stated in the release, Zarwell will also act as a project manager, improving aspects of RevolutionEHR.
“I’m excited to join Rev360 and support the efforts of practices and doctors to help streamline patient care experiences and enhance the RevolutionEHR software platform,” Zarwell said in the release.
After working with the vision care divisions at Johnson & Johnson and Bausch + Lomb, Kastein brings nearly 25 years of eye care industry experience to Rev360’s senior leadership team. As senior vice president, Kastein will focus on expanding access to new services and products for eye care practitioners, according to the release.
“Bill’s knowledge and experience will help ensure we are constantly increasing the value of our service delivery to ECPs who run their practice with RevolutionEHR, ultimately delivering them more profitability and enjoyment as they focus on providing patient care,” Scott Jens, OD, Rev360’s CEO, said in the release.
