ActiveLink added a new e-commerce solution for eye care professionals to its customer relationship management system, according to a press release distributed at Vision Expo West.
The addition integrates with the eye care provider’s website and recommends frames for each patient based on facial features. The ECP has control over what lenses a patient can see and keeps 100% of the revenue.
“Doctors and office managers kept telling me that they needed an e-commerce presence for their practices that did not force them to give up control of their patients,” Kurt Hofmeister, founder of ActiveLink Optical, said in the release. “After looking at the e-commerce products available and confirming that there is no product on the market that gives the practice the ability to set pricing, control inventory and keep 100% of the profits, we started developing ActiveLink eCommerce.”
