BLOG: Marfan syndrome

Marfan syndrome is characterized by progressive zonulopathy that leads to subluxation of the lens. Depending upon the degree of involvement of the zonules, the decentration of the lens that occurs eventually leads to aberropia, and in extreme cases of zonular decompensation, it can also lead to a dropped lens in the vitreous cavity. This video showcases the procedure of lensectomy and vitrectomy with the fixation of a three-piece IOL with a glued intrascleral procedure.
