Practice Profiles: Millennial-Minded Approaches to Astigmatism Management

Introduction

In the past, astigmatism management took a back seat in the cataract refractive surgery landscape, but now, it has become an integral aspect in overall patient care, ultimately redefining treatment methods and perspectives.

With a wave of young ophthalmologists entering practice and treating patients, Ocular Surgery News took the opportunity to speak with four young surgeons on their use of the AcrySof IQ Toric IOL (Alcon Laboratories, Inc.). Here, they discuss the key features of the IOL, treatment methods, clinical pearls and patient education on astigmatism management.

I thank the faculty members for their participation and Alcon Laboratories, Inc., for sponsoring this supplement.
