IN MEMORIAM: Kathleen H. Taylor

Abstract

Kathleen H. Taylor, PhD, RN, a member of the Journal's Editorial Board, died September 1, 1991. Dr Taylor pioneered improvement of nursing home residential care and was active in higher education for gerontological nurses. She was formerly an associate in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), College of Nursing.

Dr Taylor received a nursing diploma from Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Central State University, Edmond, Oklahoma. She completed her master's degree in nursing at the University of Oklahoma in Norman and her doctoral degree in nursing at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. A member of the Journal's Editorial Board for 13 years, Dr Taylor published several articles in professional journals.
