Abstract

Fall and Wandering Management System Designed

The Vigil 88 Sensor fall and wandering management system, designed by health-care professionals, will alert caregivers that a loved one is attempting to move through a doorway or from a bed or chair when it would be unwise or unsafe for him to do so.

By simply self-attaching the Vigil 88 to a doorway, bed headboard, chair, or wall, the patented Vigil 88 "safety zone" is established. When the patient attempts to move beyond the safety zone, a clear, distinctive, audible alert is sounded. This system is easy to understand and use: it requires virtually no installation; it is easily transferred from site to site; it requires no maintenance; it operates on a single standard 9V battery; and it arrives ready to use with simple step-by-step instructions.

Peta also offers a wide variety of lefthanded scissors and the world's only genuine ambidextrous nail scissor. Table top "push down" scissors and long loop children's scissors, as well as several self-opening tools, are some of the specialty designs.

Knobbles also function as "night lights." Knobbles contain glow-in-thedark crystals that recharge indefinitely from sunlight or regular room light. At night or during a power outage, the glow from the covers guides people to the bathroom or an emergency exit door.
