Handcare System Improves Efficiency

Nursing home administrators looking for ways to help improve the operating efficiency in their facility can look to the ProCare hand care system from SaniFresh International, a unit of Scott Paper Company, as one solution.

Two dispensing systems - the ProCare 800 mL dispensing system and the ProCare TwinPak 1000 mL dispensing system - are part of the ProCare hand care system, both of which help to reduce maintenance, waste, and the time spent refilling dispensers. Both dispensing systems contain a cartridge that takes as little as 10 seconds to replace. In addition, a new pump that is guaranteed never to leak, clog, or break down is part of every refill cartridge, so dispenser maintenance/repair is virtually eliminated.

for high consumption and critical care areas, the dispensing system is an ideal addition. The TwinPak dispenser contains two 500 m L cartridges of hand cleanser. Run-out and waste situations can be avoided because the second cartridge acts as a reserve so each cartridge may be left in place until it is completely empty. A window in the front of the dispenser allows the maintenance staff to quickly determine when a cartridge needs to be replaced. Both dispensing systems are hermetically sealed to discourage a breeding ground for germs that is possible with reservoir type soap dispensers and bar soaps.

The protected needle is easy to use with any IV set. The sheath is designed with a positive locking mechanism to prevent accidental separation from the primary set. After insertion into the injection site, it snaps in place over the "Y" junction and locks in place for security, but can later be easily removed.

The needle is completely compatible with any male Luerlock adapter, and can be used with a syringe for added protection against accidental needle sticks during (V push. It also safely connects to heparin locks.
