Washington, D.C. - An innovative publication released by AARP - the American Association of Retired Persons - is designed to help consumers get the most for their money when dealing with health professionals.
"Healthy Questions" was produced by AARP in cooperation with the Federal Trade Commission. Available free of charge, it is used by consumers to help choose their health professionals, evaluate treatment and services, maintain health records, and register complaints.
The guide includes specific sections on choosing and evaluating physicians, pharmacists, dentists and vision care specialists.
