EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

DNS Program

The School of Nursing of Widener University will begin a doctoral program in the fall of 1983 on the University's Pennsylvania Campus, Chester.

The program will award the degree of DNS (Doctor of Nursing Science) and is designed specifically to prepare clinically competent nurses to teach nursing at the post-secondary level or in hospitals and other health care settings.

A central feature of Widener's program will be a "Summer Scholars" component. An intensive academic summer session, the Summer Scholars program will be taught by eminent, visiting faculty.

To enter the program, students must have an MSN degree from an institution accredited by the National League for Nursing. Enrollment can be on a full-time or part-time basis.
