Scholarships for Professional Achievement Awarded

Abstract

NEW YORK-Awarding of $55,000 in scholarships to registered nurses for advanced education during the 1983-84 academic year has been announced by Dr. Laura L. Simms, President of NEF.

The prestigious Isabel Hampton Robb Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Donna Lee Algase, a doctoral student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Ms. Algase is a specialist in gerontological nursing and is currently Assistant to the Dean at the Medical College of Ohio School of Nursing in Toledo. The Isabel Hampton Robb Memorial Fund formed the basis for Nurses' Educational Funds, Inc. and the Board has directed that this scholarship be awarded each year to the applicant judged to have the most outstanding record of scholastic and professional achievement. Ms. Algase 's award was $5,000.…
