Taking Bl'ood Pressure Now Easier Than Ever With Marshall Electronics Astropulse 80
Astropulse 80, the latest and most accurate, fail-safe method of taking blood pressure readings at home, is now available from Marshall Electronics, Skokie, Illinois, a leader in home health care products.
Unlike traditional sphygmomanometers, the Astropulse 80 is completely electronic, and features a digital readout of not only the systolic and diastolic pressure but a person's pulse rate as well. The unit also eliminates the chance of innaccurate readings because of its electronic error indicator.
If anything happens during the taking of the blood pressure, an "E" automatically appears in the readout area indicating that the test needs to be started over.
A series of audible tones indicates when the systolic pressure has been recorded and continues until the diastolic pressure is registered. Once completed, all that needs to be done to find the pulse rate is deflate the cup and push a button that instantly gives the person his/her pulse rate.
"This unit is so accurate, fail-safe, and easy to use," says Marshall Electronics vice president Frank Zorn, "That it's not only perfect for the person who has to monitor his/her blood pressure daily, but it's ideal for a physician's office."
The Astropulse 80 is easy to use and can be done by one person. Once the blood pressure cuff is wrapped around the arm, it is inflated to at least 30 to 50 mm of mercury above the known, or estimated, systolic pressure. The cuff is slowly deflated with the decreasing pressure posted on the digital readout screen on the Astropulse 80.
As with all Marshall Electronics products, the Astropulse 80 comes with complete blood pressure recording charts so accurate records can be kept at home.
The Astropulse 80 is available for a suggested retail price of $179.95. For additional information contact Marshall Electronics, Inc, 7440 North Long Ave, Skokie, Illinois 60076; or telephone: (312) 583-6060.
