DESTIN, Fla. — At the Congress of Clinical Rheumatology Annual Meeting, Michael C. Schweitz, MD, and Gregory Schimizzi, MD, spoke about drug pricing, the tier system and rebates that affect access to care for rheumatic patients who receive biologics for autoimmune inflammatory diseases.

They spoke about the role of the Alliance for Transparent and Affordable Prescriptions, an organization that was started to shed light on how the system works and how it creates difficulties for patient access to biologics.
