The 19th EFORT Congress has been granted a maximum of 18 European CME credits by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spent in the educational activity. The European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) credit system is based on one European CME credit (ECMEC) per hour with a maximum of three ECMECs for half-day event and six ECMECs for a full-day event.

Regulations require scanning in and out of each session to collect the total number of hours the medical specialist attended into the scientific program as part of the educational activity of the congress. Industry-sponsored symposia are not eligible for CME accreditation and do not count in the total number of hours spent in the educational activity.

The process

1) Be ready

  • Download the EFORT2018 Congress Mobile App – iOS and Android format available as of 28 May 2018.
  • Select “CME Credits” menu in the App and enter your badge ID number.
  • Confirm or amend your contact details (first name, last name and email).

2) Track your educational activity

  • Scan your badge walking in and out of each scientific session room.
  • Fill in the survey feedback for the attended sessions.

3) Download your CME certificate at the end of the congress

  • In Barcelona, a CME column will be located at the entrance of each scientific session to allow you to scan your badge. A CME help desk counter will be located in the congress registration area to support you with scanning and mobile app inquiries.
