CHICAGO — At the American Association of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting, Walavan Sivakumar, MD, spoke about a cadaveric study which assessed deep temporal nerves as possible nerve donors for face reanimation. He said the deep temporal nerve is a consistent location to find new donors for nerve transfers.

Sivakumar said they have used the technique on one patient so far with good cosmetic results after 1-yearafter surgery.
