Within the close partnership with European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES), EFORT will hold a symposium at the 16th European Congress for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ECTES) in Amsterdam.
The symposium will be held Monday 11 May from 10:30 to 12:00. Proximal Femur Fractures – What Makes The Difference? is organized by the Trauma Education Committee of EFORT.
The lectures cover the following topics:
- the influence of OR timing;
- the advantages of different implants for fixation;
- the causes of failure of proximal femur fixations; and
- the problem of anticoagulation therapies.
Finally, the results of a European survey regarding the preferred choice of treatment for different fracture patterns will be presented.
