Healio won silver at the annual MM+M Awards in the category of best health care professional media brand.

The MM+M Awards recognize creativity and effectiveness in health care marketing and communications. Healio was honored for its entry, “Healio: Perfecting the Experience for the Medical Specialist.”

Silver Winner

A new, fully reengineered version of the Healio News website was launched in June, following the relaunch of Healio CME last November.

“On behalf of the entire Healio team, we are excited and honored to earn this prestigious award,” Healio Chief Commercial Officer Matthew J. Holland said. “Our focus has always been to serve the needs of medical specialists. The innovations and technology that went into the newly released Healio platform have brought even greater personalization to their experience.”

The new Healio updates included:

  • More personalization;
  • simplified navigation;
  • estimated read time and save functions;
  • dedicated author pages;
  • transparent author/disclosure information;
  • artificial intelligence-generated content recommendations;
  • and extended expert perspectives.

A propriety keyword tagging system, dubbed “Healiologix,” was also implanted into the system. This allowed for significant increases in the number of personalized features throughout the website.

Healiologix pairs leading keyword tagging and indexing systems with editorial content expertise — providing an enriched keyword result for users to dive deeper into areas of interest — and offers more relevant recommendations to related content.

“After extensive usability testing with health care professionals, we set out to give users what they want most — a site that is easy to use and delivers trusted content relevant to their practice,” Healio Chief Content Officer Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, said.

With its deeper engagement among specialty health care providers and more personalization, the new Healio also allows health care marketers to contact their target audience through innovative advertising and custom solutions.
