Storm Eye Update

Residents and fellows from the Medical University of South Carolina’s Storm Eye Institute will present their latest research results after working with patients, studying medication treatments and uses, observing technology and working in other pertinent areas of ophthalmology.

Retina

Moderator: Steve Charles, MD
Head-to-head debates on the latest retina topics that are most relevant and valuable to the comprehensive ophthalmologist. A panel will engage the pros and cons of various retinal areas including macular degeneration, optical coherence tomography, injection intervals, pre-operative retinal workups for LASIK and cataract surgery.

Video Symposium: Surgical Techniques

Moderator: John A. Hovanesian, MD, FACS
Renowned surgeons will use their vast experience and knowledge to offer you their pearls for surgical success. Presenters will break down their preferred methods for routine and challenging patient cases, to provide you with tips that you can bring into your own surgeries on Monday. Rapid-fire interactive questions to the panel and audience will create an exciting atmosphere while you learn.

Interactive Cornea: Hot Topics and Cases

Moderator: Edward J. Holland, MD
This is a highly engaging session that will focus on the health and functioning of the cornea. Panelists will utilize a combination of informative case presentations followed by interactive rapid-fire questions for both faculty and attendees. This will create an interesting and engaging educational format for all.

Diagnostics and Drug Delivery

Moderator: John A. Hovanesian, MD, FACS
Expert perspective on diagnostic solutions for pre-operative planning, new technologies that help improve post-operative inflammation and the assessmen and use of appropriate devices to maximize outcomes.
