15 tips to help you plan
CME/CNE/COE CREDITS
Hawaiian Eye and Retina offer separate educational programs where comprehensive ophthalmologists can earn 31 CME credits, retina specialists can earn 24 CME credits, nurses/allied health professionals can earn 17.5 CNE/JCAHPO credits and administrators can earn 17.5 COE credits.
REGISTRATION SAVINGS
The earlier you register, the more you save! Register by May 31 to save $250, August 31 to save $200 and November 30 to save $100. Enter a priority code at checkout to save even more.
GROUP DISCOUNTS
Groups of 3 or more receive the deepest discount on nurse and administrator registrations with the Practice Plan discount. Download the group registration form or register by calling 1-877-307-5225 ext. 219 or ext. 476.
HOTEL ROOMS
You must register before you can reserve a room (our block will open in April). Reduced rates will be available at the Grand Wailea Maui and Wailea Beach Marriott.
FLIGHTS
The closest airport is Kahului Airport (OGG).
SCHEDULE
All events are unopposed and included in the standard registration fee, except the luau. A typical day has sessions available from 6:30 am – 5:15 pm, including a breakfast seminar or continental breakfast, general sessions, lunch seminar, afternoon program, evening banyan tree session and occasional sunset seminars and other special events. Visit our website to see details specific to each program.
ATTIRE
Dress code is resort casual – shorts and Hawaiian shirts are worn by many attendees and faculty.
FACULTY
The faculty wear leis, so you can easily identify and approach them with questions.
GUESTS/FAMILY
Many attendees bring guests or family to spend time with after sessions.
HULA LESSONS
Learn the basic steps and hand gestures along with music and culture.
LUAU TICKETS
Invite family or guests to an authentic Hawaiian luau on Thursday evening. An additional fee is required and includes entertainment, drinks and dinner/dessert buffets. Pre-registration will open this summer as there will be assigned seating on a first-come, first-served basis
MAIN ATTRACTIONS
Highlights include Hana Highway, Iao Valley State Park, Molokini Crater and Haleakala.
EXCURSION DISCOUNTS
See the “Tours and Activities” booth onsite – exclusive to attendees – for excursion assistance and discounts.
MEETING APP
Download the official meeting app in January to preview faculty presentations. Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available in the meeting rooms. Use the app to follow along to presentations as well as to submit questions and receive answers in real-time.
