Manifestations of Food Allergy in Infants and Children

Rachel E. Story, MD, MPH

Abstract

Parents frequently report that their children have adverse reactions to foods. Pediatricians must be familiar with the manifestations of food allergy in children to assess which children need further diagnostic evaluation, what evaluation is appropriate, and when a referral to an allergist is necessary.
