Jacobson named NYU Langone Health director of hepatology

NYU Langone Health announced the appointment of Ira M. Jacobson, MD, as its new director of hepatology within its division of gastroenterology, according to a press release.

“I am honored to join a division and institution where the mission of excellence in patient care, education, and research are embodied in every member of the team,” Jacobson said in the release. “I look forward to working with the group of hepatologists, surgeons, and other specialists who have done so much to build the outstanding program in liver diseases at NYU Langone.”
