Heart Blocks ECG 9

  1. Normal sinus rhythm
  2. 3rd degree AV block (complete heart block)
  3. Osborne waves consistent with hypothermia
  4. Non-specific ST-T wave abnormalities

The ECG findings of hypothermia include a the classic Osborne wave characterized by a notch in the downward portion of the R wave in the QRS comples as seen below:

Some other ECG findings in hypothermia include low voltage, bradycardia (can be junctional, atrial fibrillation or higher grade AV blocks as in this ECG), artifact from shivering and non-specific ST-T wave abnormalities.
