CMHC to feature crucial topics in diabetes, lipids, obesity and more

In its 14th year, the Cardiometabolic Health Congress, taking place in Chicago from Oct. 10 to 13, will feature an extensive agenda including an innovative preconference summit, a broad variety of session topics, numerous advanced learning workshops and a faculty panel consisting of many of cardiometabolic medicine’s foremost clinical experts.

Grounded in the most valuable clinical knowledge and late-breaking updates within cardiometabolic health available, this event will disseminate valuable and actionable expertise for active clinicians to integrate into practice.

The event will begin with a 1-day preconference Cardiometabolic Tech Summit centered on the most valuable technological advancements in CV and metabolic health for active practitioners. Led by renowned diabetes expert Anne L. Peters, MD, the new preconference summit serves to identify and examine practical and effective uses of technology within everyday medical practices. In placing an emphasis on providing active clinicians with advanced capabilities to improve clinical outcomes, this summit will evaluate the latest research and clinical knowledge surrounding the use of technology for the management and treatment of cardiometabolic health.

The 3 remaining days of the conference will largely be divided into four comprehensive clinical themes. Day 2 of the conference will spotlight diabetes management, with session topics covering FDA updates, insulin management options for patients with type 2 diabetes, multidisciplinary case consults and more. Day 3 of the conference will center on lipid management and hypertension/HF management, with sessions highlighting guidelines and gaps in care, the role of metabolic syndrome in HF with preserved ejection fraction and the treatment of high-risk patients with CVD, among others. The final day of the conference will focus on obesity and lifestyle management, with faculty members examining updates on leptin and obesity, the mechanisms of obesity and hypertension, lifestyle approaches to weight reduction and more.

Designed to serve as an actionable aid for cardiometabolic practitioners, the Cardiometabolic Health Congress (CMHC) will deliver valuable insider knowledge through a variety of educational formats including interactive Q&A sessions, didactic lectures, live demonstrations and more. With sessions fully rooted in the latest and most well-supported research, clinical updates and expertise, this year’s agenda will provide a fresh and thorough review of the most clinically relevant topics in cardiometabolic health today.
