KEY POINTS Only a few herbal drugs to date have actually been documented to have clinically significant interactions with cancer therapeutic agents. These include St. John’s Wort, G biloba, and Echinacea. The lack of studies on clinically significant interactions may not necessarily mean an absence of such interactions. Antioxidants are best avoided during chemoradiation therapy. It is prudent to avoid imbibing alcohol during chemoradiation therapy.
