An 89-year-old woman presented to the emergency room complaining of a 2-day history of progressively worsening abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting. She had a history of metastatic ovarian cancer and had undergone total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy and multiple postoperative chemotherapeutic regimens.
