Colonoscopy for hemostasis may be performed to treat bleeding colon lesions such as bleeding neoplasms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), or other causes of bleeding in the colon.    Same as for a diagnostic colonoscopy, except in situations of emergent bleeding.    Purge lavage (may require nasogastric tube).
