Despite considerable improvements in chemotherapy, surgical resection remains the only potentially curative intervention for patients with colon adenocarcinoma. However, the ways in which surgical resection can be delivered are varied. This chapter will describe how to best tailor the nature and timing of operative intervention to the clinical circumstance at hand.
