Neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser has been used for the palliation of malignant tumors and for therapy of bleeding lesions. Laser therapy vaporizes tumors and coagulates bleeding lesions. Dilation may be required for obstructive tumors prior to laser therapy. The major complication of this therapy is perforation.
