Osteoporosis, or “thinning of the bones,” is a concern among many women, especially those who are experiencing or have experienced menopause. Osteoporosis increases one’s susceptibility to developing fractures of the bones in the wrist, ribs, vertebral spine, and hips, often with minimal trauma.
