Reports of the incidence of enteric fistulae in Crohn’s disease vary widely. Table 24-1 presents a summary of the published literature with a breakdown of incidence by type of enteric fistula. It is important to be cognizant of the group of patients reported and the methods of fistula detection used in these reports.
