Golden Pen Award
The Golden Pen Award, sponsored by SLACK Incorporated, honors excellence in writing by AAOHN members. All members who publish a manuscript in the journal are eligible for the award.
Articles written by members and published the previous year are compiled and reviewed by a committee composed of AAOHN staff, the Editor of the journal, and SLACK publishing staff. The committee members judge the articles on the basis of the following criteria:
- Is the topic current?
- Does the topic relate to occupational and environmental health nursing?
- Is the article applicable to occupational and environmental health nursing?
- Is the article research or practice based? If research based, it is applicable to occupational health nursing practice?
