Data from HCVerso, a hepatitis C clinical development program, will be presented at the European Association for the Study of the Liver’s 2012 meeting from April 18 to 22 in Barcelona, Spain.
Presentations will include an oral abstract of interim results from a SOUND-C2, phase 2b study of BI 201335 and BI 207127, an investigational, interferon-free HCV treatment in which the drug was administered with and without ribavirin to patients with chronic genotype-1 HCV.
Four related poster presentations also will be made on topics including: Interim results on the efficacy and safety of BI 201335 in cirrhotic genotype-1 patients; the variants of HCV NS3 that developed during a phase 2 SILEN-C2 study of BI 201335; the effect of early response definitions on duration and outcome of treatment with the drug administered with ribavirin and pegylated-interferon, and a preclinical characterization of BI 207127.
The data will be highlighted during an April 19 press conference at the meeting, and will be available on the European Association for the Study of the Liver’s website on April 21.
