Healio.com has been named winner of the 2012 Sitecore North American Site of the Year in the “Best Publishing Site” category.
Sitecore is a global software company and the content management system (CMS) behind Healio.com. The Wyanoke Group worked with Sitecore partner Arke Systems to launch Healio.com in April 2012. In their commendation, Sitecore noted, “With the launch of Healio, Arke extended the Sitecore platform to new limits...The Healio site project has created a compelling story for the value associated with a content management system and customer relations management (CRM) integration that all marketers should strive to have.”
In 2011, Wyanoke partnered with Arke Systems, a software development firm, to develop Healio.com, a one-stop reference website for medical professionals worldwide. To do this, Arke and Wyanoke combined content from 35 independent websites and linked the new site to the CRM system. This undertaking required building a custom site login process, migrating more than 600,000 content items and building an eCommerce checkout process.
“We are honored to be recognized by Sitecore as a Site of the Year winner. Our Healio.com users are specialty and subspecialty physicians from 18 disciplines, as well as nurses, therapists and other health care professionals. Healio.com allows us to present our content in a single platform, with enhanced organization and personalization, which adds value and depth to the user experience,” said John C. Carter, COO of The Wyanoke Group.
Healio.com includes content from The Wyanoke Group companies: SLACK Incorporated, Vindico Medical Education, Association & Meeting Solutions, as well as other association partners and education providers.
“This award confirms that the work and commitment of many individuals within The Wyanoke Group, Arke Systems and Sitecore organizations has resulted in a dynamic and valuable online resource that will only grow in importance within the healthcare community,” said Peter N. Slack, President and CEO of The Wyanoke Group.
Nominations for Sitecore’s awards are judged on creativity, integration with rich data sources and applications, the ability to engage, educate and motivate an action, and the overall user experience. The contest is divided into four regions: International, Denmark, UK and North America.
