Learning Objectives:

- Discuss the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease in chronic renal disease.
- Evaluate evidence-based medicine and clinical data on treatment regimens that result in a reduction in cardiovascular events in patients with renal disease.
- Implement practice strategies that reduce cardiovascular events in patients with renal disease, including those with renal insufficiency and renal failure.
