VIDEO: Nitric oxide-releasing gel shows efficacy in treating genital warts

ORLANDO, Fla. — In a video perspective from the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting, Stephen K. Tyring, MD, PhD, discusses late-breaking research he presented on SB206, a novel, nitric oxide-releasing topical gel for treating genital/perianal warts caused by human papillomavirus.

Tyring, clinical professor of dermatology at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, reported that SB206 (Novan) showed efficacy and appeared to be well tolerated in the phase 2 study, with SB206 12% once daily demonstrating significant difference compared with placebo.
