Stroke risk higher among adults with congenital heart disease

Adults born with a heart defect are at substantially higher risk for stroke compared with the general population, according to results published in Circulation.

Researchers also found that among those with congenital heart disease, the strongest predictors of ischemic stroke are HF, diabetes and recent MI.
