Information related to sedation, safe handling of equipment, and additional resources are also included. This edition contains the newest procedures and the most up to date techniques. The detailed pictures and illustrations strengthen the text. This manual is a key resource for new and experienced endoscopy nurses. It functions as a reference for anyone using endoscopy equipment and will contribute to improving the care delivered to patients undergoing these procedures."
— Karen K. Davis, RN, MS, Director of Nursing, Department of Medicine, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD
"The evolution of endoscopy into a more therapeutic endeavor has resulted in a need for a wider diversity of skills necessary to choreograph the patient care process cycle in endoscopy. The demands for more efficiency while maintaining the utmost standards in patient care makes the timing of this edition of the manual even more germane. This manual is a "must have" for those who are newly exposed to the endoscopy unit. It contains all the rudiments necessary for developing skill set guides and standard operating procedures manuals for any units or operating rooms involved in gastrointestinal endoscopy."
